Bachelor in Paradise star Sarah Hamrick abruptly left the show after hitting the beach. She now explains her surprising exit to fans on Instagram.
Brief Bachelor in Paradise star Sarah Hamrick left the show surprisingly and suddenly before a rose ceremony, and she revealed that it had to do with her family. On a recent episode of the show, Sarah was introduced on the beach, but when it came time for the rose ceremony, she was nowhere to be seen. Host Jesse Palmer told the rest of the cast that Sarah would be leaving the show due to a “family emergency.”
After the episode aired, Sarah shared an Instagram post saying, “opening myself up to another chance at love here was a challenge in itself, but when my grandma passed, having one of the most vulnerable and heartbreaking moments of my life captured while being there was something I never expected.” She reminded her followers that everyone on Bachelor in Paradise is a real person with families and lives beyond what they show on TV, and it’s important to remember that. Her post went on to say, “When those worlds intersect like it did for me, it reminds me of what’s really important, and to just be kind.”

Sarah Hamrick Was Part Of The Bachelor In Paradise Twist
Sarah had joined the show late into season 8 after a twist bringing five new women on, while the original girls stayed at a different location in the interim. “The Split” twist was widely criticized by viewers and has been called out as unfair by cast members as well. Due to the death of her grandma, Sarah left the show before she could truly form a connection with any of the men, though as a late arrival, she may have gone home alone anyway.
Her short-lived time on Bachelor in Paradise was full of potential, but at the time of her departure, Sarah was currently not a part of a match with any of the men on the show. She talked to Logan Palmer, who dumped her for Kate Gallivan, and then spoke with Jacob Rapini after it didn’t work out with Logan. However, nothing took off romantically between the couple, and they are reportedly not together after the show.

Sara was originally on Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor, but she had a difficult time, and was involved in drama with Teddi Wright and future Bachelorette Rachel Recchia. Unfortunately, her time on the summer spin-off show didn’t go much better. Maybe she will have another chance at love in another season of Bachelor In Paradise eventually, but for now, she will be able to spend some much-needed quality time with her family.
