The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kathy Hilton posted IG stories regarding her “tequila drama” scenes and about treating others with respect.
Kathy Hilton, from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, recently posted stories on her Instagram alluding to her disapproval of how Kyle Richards and the other women treated her during a trip to Aspen. The sisters have had a rocky relationship throughout the last few years, even going through a period of not speaking to or seeing each other at all. It seemed like during RHOBH season 11 they had mended their relationship and began enjoying each other’s company again, but the fallout from the latest episode may prove differently.
Kathy has been a “friend of” on RHOBH since season 11 and immediately became a fan favorite because of her quirky personality and love for a good practical joke. Her idiosyncrasies, like always traveling with a box fan, mysteriously referring to her housekeeper as “The Lady,” or serving a meal of baked potato and caviar, leave RHOBH viewers rolling with laughter and looking forward to her next scene. Since being on the show, fans have been able to glimpse a totally different side to Kathy that would most likely have never come to light if not for RHOBH. However, after the latest episode, viewers may see Kathy’s sunny demeanor begin to falter a bit. In the episode, after enjoying a meal together, the ladies went back to Kyle and Mauricio Umansky’s Aspen house to relax and have a few cocktails and Kathy took the opportunity to offer the women some of her Casa Del Sol tequila, a brand that she is an investor in along with her daughter and son-in-law. The women all declined, quickly resuming their previous conversations.

After her RHOBH castmates rudely ignored Kathy during the episode, she posted a series of stories on her Instagram hinting at the so-called “tequila drama” from RHOBH episode 17, season 12. The quote from Kathy’s Instagram story stated, “I’m not impressed by your looks, money, social status, or job title. I’m impressed by the way you treat other human beings.” The quote seems to target the women of RHOBH and their lack of decor in regard to Casa Del Sol. The quote particularly relates to Kyle, who brazenly made a dismissive noise, interrupting her sister Kathy who had good-naturedly said, “I actually think every other tequila is disgusting, and I like this…I would like to get everybody’s opinion, I thought we would do a little ‘bottoms up.'” For women who all claim to support each other throughout their various business ventures, the RHOBH stars seemed extremely dismissive and rude when offered a taste.
Throughout the series, the women of RHOBH have tried all sorts of different business endeavors, from Kyle opening boutique stores to Lisa Rinna promoting Rinna Wines or Rinna Beauty, they have practically done it all. Viewers were immediately critical of Kyle’s dismissal of Kathy’s tequila after all the promotion Kyle has done throughout the show in relation to her husband Mauricio’s real estate company The Agency and her Kyle X Shahida stores. It comes across as one-sided that the ladies expect support from one another for any promotion or opening they are having, yet they so easily dismiss Kathy.

Women supporting women is brought up often on almost all the Housewives franchises, and seeing the way the women of RHOBH reacted to Kathy’s tequila brand rubbed many fans the wrong way. Sutton Stracke says “everyone knows” she drinks vodka and Erika Girardi says that she “cussed out” Garcelle’s son the last time she drank tequila, but they can’t even sample it? Kathy was visibly frustrated with the women and many viewers have taken her side, citing the hypocrisy that the cast is showing in not supporting Kathy. The quote from Kathy’s Instagram stories closely aligns with how she must be feeling after the disregard the women showed her. Thankfully for Kathy, she is an extremely successful woman with or without the support of her so-called friends in the RHOBH cast.
