The OG of The Real Housewives of New York City, Ramona Singer, finally confirms that she has indeed handed back her golden apple for good.
Bravo fans everywhere are mourning the loss of the Singer Stinger, as The Real Housewives of New York City star Ramona Singer has finally confirmed she will not be participating in the spinoff. The 65-year-old has been a staple on the much-loved franchise and consistently delivered when it came to drama. However, after a few lackluster seasons, it seems the star may have had enough.
The news of Ramona’s departure, reported by Page Six, didn’t come as a surprise to RHONY fans, especially after her last appearance. However, the mother of one finally settled the rumors by sharing that she did not “want to do the show any longer,” noting, “It’s not for me at this time.” While Ramona claims she has outgrown the Bravo paycheck and fame, sources close to the situation shared that the network didn’t offer Ramona, who is the longest-serving cast member, an option to return to the spinoff.

Was Ramona Singer Canceled?
Ramona has been staying mum about her possible return to the show for months. Last month the New Yorker was caught saying that the RHONY Legacy spinoff series would be “the loser show,” noting Bravo would just be bringing back the housewives that they weren’t going to renew anyway. While Ramona may be on the outs, the network is aiming to bring back Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan, as well as alums Kelly Bensimon, Jill Zarin, and Dorinda Medley. It looks like Ramona will be put on ice, while Dorinda is finally taken off pause by Andy Cohen.

Ramona has never been one to bite her tongue and often used extremely hurtful sentiments to get her opinions across to her fellow co-stars. RHONY viewers blasted her during the worldwide pandemic, as she repeatedly refused to mask up and was seen partying at Mar-a-Lago, which Donald Trump owns. Ramona came under fire during the last season of RHONY for allegedly directing racist comments at Eboni K. Williams. While the internal HR investigations found nothing, Ramona never recovered in fans’ eyes.
Even though Ramona seemed to lose control in the later years of The Real Housewives of New York City, fans can’t deny that during the show’s golden years, she delivered some classic lines, including “It’s turtle time.” Sadly, the time has come to step off the ‘Ramonacoaster’ and try to embrace a show without her. Bravo fans are curious about the new, younger women who are set to star in the reboot since the point of the franchise was to watch older, wealthy women argue over catty issues. Only time will tell if Ramona was indeed an asset or a hindrance.
