Position Title: Java Developer
Salary: $80 – $90 an hour
Location: Work From Home
Piper Companies is looking for a Java Developer to work 100% remotely for a large east coast based financial services company.

Responsibilities:
- Design middle-tier/backend services that allow for seamless real-time data flow.
- Develop new and enhance existing RESTful microservices with Java on Spring boot.
- Provide new proxies for web services.
- Set up and optimize data streaming processes through Kafka.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years as a Java Developer focused on backend/database development
- Deep Kafka knowledge, understanding error topics, ability to scan through messages and troubleshoot where needed.
- Experience working in J2EE environments
- Hands on experience building/consuming APIs – REST, SOAP
- Strong SQL/MySQL experience
- Experience with ETL processes – a plus
