Celebrity Big Brother 3 and Diff’rent Strokes star Todd Bridges married designer Bettijo B. Hirschi on September 21 in Beverly Hills, California. Todd, 57, is best known for portraying Willis Jackson on Diff’rent Strokes, from 1978-1986. He also had a recurring role as Monk on Everybody Hates Chris, from 2007-2009. In 2022, he competed on Celebrity Big Brother 3, placing fourth. Although Todd began the game playing under the radar, he surprised his fellow house guests and fans when he began winning competitions.
Todd’s personal life was fraught with legal problems due to drug use. However, he turned his life around and stopped using drugs in 1993. Todd divorced his first wife Dori in 2012 after 14 years of marriage. He met his new wife Bettijo through a mutual friend in March 2022. Todd was actually supposed to be setting Bettijo up with someone else, but when he met her, he decided he wanted her for himself. Todd eventually proposed to her on the beach. Todd and Bettijo have now brought their families together, as he has two children, Spencir, 24, and Bo, 25, and he will now be a stepfather to Bettijo’s four children.
People reports that Todd married Bettijo in front of 70 friends and family members at the Greystone Mansion & Gardens in Beverly Hills on the evening of September 21. The Celebrity Big Brother star shared that he and his new wife wanted to get married in a small ceremony with “just our closest friends and family.” He said that it was special to marry “somebody that I’m madly in love with.” A reception at a nearby Italian restaurant, Il Cielo, followed the ceremony, where the couple shared their first dance to “At Last” by Etta James. Bettijo shared that the song is special to her and Todd because “we both went through a lot before finding each other.” She explained, “We kind of both had given up on finding something this great, and we were super surprised to be able to have it kind of given to us, and we feel like God had a hand in bringing us together. We feel so blessed.”
Bettijo designed her own wedding gown for her wedding to Todd Bridges because she said that she tried to find something off-the-rack, but she could not find what she wanted “because I wanted more coverage. I like classic beauty channeling from older eras, like Audrey Hepburn. So that’s what I was really inspired by.” She described her gown as all satin, with a fitted bodice with a square neck. She added, “And then I have long legs, so I did a split skirt that was kind of like a wrap. And then for the ceremony, I had an 80-inch satin train and then a 200-inch-long veil.”

Todd Bridges has had a troubled past, but it seems as though the actor has now found happiness with Bettijo. During his time on Celebrity Big Brother 3, he gained a new fan following. Todd has really turned his life around, and he has found his true love. The couple will spend their honeymoon in Hawaii.
