Thaís Ramone launches her dream swimwear line, but many 90 Day Fiancé fans doubt her bikinis were truly “handmade with love from Brazil.”
Thaís Ramone, who married Patrick Mendes on 90 Day Fiancé season 9, has launched a bikini brand which is turning out to be controversial. The Brazilian woman moved to Texas on a K-1 visa in the 2022 installment of the show after having met Patrick, a former weightlifting champion who now sells home alarm systems for a living. Meanwhile, Thaís, who was introduced as a model on the TLC show, has opened up about how she wanted to do “1000 things” at the same time. Thaís is pregnant with her first baby, but in October she revealed she’s also designing bikinis now.
26-year-old Thaís received praise for her bikini photos on Instagram, when she revealed she had a dream of creating a product made in Brazil for two years. With 90 Day Fiancé giving her much-needed publicity, Thaís shared five different bikini styles, which she promoted as “handmade with love from Brazil” under her name Thaís Ramonie Brazilian Swimwear. However, Reddit user u/OhEmGeeShelly recently called out Thaís by admitting they don’t believe for “one minute” that the bikinis are not from Ali Express. They shared a screenshot of Thaís’ IG page for her brand, and another TLC viewer mxryjuana noticed “The brand name on IG is literally Thaís’ BS.” User uglychickenwrap said “You gotta have zero shame to open up a drop shipping store and seriously expect people to buy from it,” about 90 Day Fiancé cast member Thaís.

90 Day Fiancé Fans Claim Thaís Lies About Being A Designer
90 Day Fiancé fan the_ghost_in_me_ spoke about how they respect Thaís for being “smarter than Yara” because she doesn’t use photos directly from the manufacturer which are also used by AliExpress, Walmart “or any of the other 5000 stores selling them.” They claimed to have checked the images Thaís has on her website, and they did not yield any matches on the internet. However, the fan found the link to the actual manufacturer on OLX. They explained that Thaís wasn’t lying about the bikinis being produced in Brazil, as the manufacturer is based out there. “But she was lying when she said she designed them,” they added.
Popular 90 Day Fiancé star Thaís seemingly got caught because she used one of the manufacturer’s stock images on her website. Still, Thaís is now being compared to Yara, who was also accused of drop shipping not too long ago when she too decided to cash in on her 90 Day Fiancé acquired fame by starting her fashion business called Yara Zaya Shop and Boujee by Yara, a makeup line. At the time, fans boycotted Yara’s business by saying that her products were available at other sellers for much cheaper. Yara was also slammed for making false claims that her makeup line was vegan, when it was discovered that a product contained beeswax.

The content on 90 Day Fiancé star Yara’s cosmetics website was also apparently plagiarized. The Yara makeup controversy created noise for some time but died down soon. But this was replaced by Miona Bell’s beauty line, which allegedly included makeup brushes also available on AliBaba at a much cheaper price than what she lists on her website. Regardless of what critics have to say about 90 Day Fiancé stars like Yara, Miona, and now Thaís, they still manage to find a solid customer base that helps them earn thousands of dollars. Miona claims to have made $20,000 in a week from selling ponytails, and it’s more than likely that reality TV star Thaís has been laughing her way to the bank as well.
